When to Book Your Graduation Session

In Angeles City and Pampanga, graduation season peaks in March, April, and May. Studios book solid months in advance during this period. If your graduation falls in these months, book your studio session in January or February.

For December graduates, book in October or November. For mid-year or shifting schedule graduates, 4–6 weeks is usually sufficient outside peak season.

Toga vs. Formal: Which Should You Book?

Many graduates want both — and for good reason. Toga photos capture the academic milestone; formal photos (in a gown, barong, or professional outfit) capture who you are at this stage of life. If your package includes two sets of shoot, use one for toga and one for formal.

If you are choosing just one, consider your audience. Photos for lola and relatives abroad? Toga is universally understood. Professional LinkedIn headshots or personal portfolio? Formal wins.

Best Graduation Poses for Solo and Family Shots

The classic diploma-and-cap pose is always expected but rarely the best one. Lens Image Factory photographers will guide you through a range of poses: candid walking shots, looking off-camera with the toga draped naturally, holding flowers for a softer look, and formal straight-to-camera poses for traditional preference.

For family shots, ask your photographer to schedule the family portion early in the session — before the graduate gets tired and before younger siblings lose patience.

Including Family in Your Graduation Session

Family add-on pricing at Lens Image Factory: Companion solo (same appointment): ₱1,000 per person. Friends or family group shots in the same session: ₱300 per person. Couple photos with a partner are included free.

Coordinate outfits the same way you would for a family portrait — complementary colors, not matching. Avoid having parents wear the same color as the graduate's toga (typically dark blue, black, or maroon) so the graduate stands out.
